2010 reflections

Disclaimer: I will try to become a better blogger this new year, but I can't make any promises :)

2011 is here and a new year has begun! As I reflect on the Lord's faithfulness and goodness to us throughout this past year and even through the first 12 days of this new year, I can only thank Him and praise Him for how He has sustained us through each and every day. From the food on our table to the heat in our house, the Lord's mercies are never-ending.

2010 was a year full of change, growth, and transitions for both Will and I. For one, we got MARRIED on the second day of January. This had to be the biggest change for me during 2010 mainly learning to live with a boy! Our wedding day was the best day of my life and the best way to start 2010. We are able to look back now though and laugh at how immature naive we were, and how it has been so much fun getting to learn about life and responsibilities together. This past year I have learned to appreciate the art of cooking. I never really cooked before I got married, but I do now and really enjoy it when I have the time. One of my favorite movies, Julie and Julia has inspired me to be a better cook in the kitchen and to try new things. However, I'm still trying to get comfortable with the "basics" first before branching out too much.

Another big part of 2010 for us was graduating from COLLEGE! A whirlwind of emotions surrounded me the day of graduation because all I could think about was how happy I was to be finally finished, but at the same time, how I was not ready to be in the "real world." Yet once again, God sustained me and gave me a job that I love, and I cannot thank Him enough for that. I love getting to play "dress-up" and help people feel better about themselves everyday.

There are sooo many more blessings and big parts of 2010 that I could talk about, but seeing that this post is already really long, hopefully you are still with me I am going to end this post with pictures from this past year and a passage of Scripture that served as a constant encouragement to us during this past year.

Happy 2011, friends! May the Lord bless you all.
