A place where leaves really do change colors

Tennessee is where I want to be! Thursday night, Will and I loaded up the car, picked up our other couple friends Anna and John, and drove 9 hours through the night to Maryville, Tennessee. YES, Will drove ALL night, John was his co-pilot, and Anna and I snoozed on and off the whole way there. When we finally made it, we grabbed some breakfast, and then got to have a taste of a TRUE fall for a few days.

Because Mississippi's fall has consisted of a constant 80 degree temperature or higher, it was so nice to be in a state that had colored leaves and a wonderful temperature in the lower 60s. IT WAS PERFECT!

Words don't even begin to describe the beauty of our God's creation that we observed this weekend.

"Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created. He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away." (Psalm 148:1-6)

Not only was God's goodness and beauty seen throughout His creation, but it was also seen through the love of two of His own, Bryan and Rachel. The whole weekend was dedicated to their wedding weekend! Bryan and Rachel are the perfect match--They both love the Lord Jesus with all of their hearts and in turn have this amazing ability to love and serve other people. Congratulations, Bryan and Rachel on a beautiful wedding weekend!

Happy Fall, y'all!:)

2 months ago...we moved to Jackson. It has been quite a transition for the two of us being in a new city, new job, new school, new church, new everything. We are finally feeling a little bit more settled although the newness of everything is still there. Here are some pictures for you of our oh-so-humble abode!

Happy Fall, y'all :)

Beautiful Saturday in September in Starkville

So far, this Labor Day weekend has been a wonderful one! Will and I packed our bags (and Millie's) Friday night, loaded up in the car, and headed to Starkville! After arriving, we met up with some of our sweet State friends, and we were able to catch up a little bit. The next morning, Will went to our favorite City Bagel and picked up some yummy breakfast for us to eat. Such a great start to a beautiful Saturday in September in Starkville! Later on, we met up with Will's parents and enjoyed a nice afternoon with family and friends tailgating in the Junction. The game last night was AMAZING! By far, one of the top five fun games that I have been to since my time at Mississippi State! So proud of the bulldogs, and am looking forward to cheering them on again this week against Auburn!

Busy Bees

So it has been quite a while since I have blogged last, and a lot has gone on between then and now at the Morgan home: from a wedding shower and a wedding to work starting and law school orientation with everything in between! Needless to say, we've been as busy as bees! Will and I are slowly but surely getting our place in order and trying to find time to spend together in the midst of all the craziness.

I started working at Anthropologie on August 3rd and am absolutely LOVING it! It's very tempting to look around and want one of each thing in the store, but it's the atmosphere and people that make work so enjoyable! Who would have ever thought that work could be so fun???

Will began law school orientation this past week, and he is officially oriented! He begins classes this Wednesday and ready or not law school's coming...FAST! I think he is ready to get into a routine though and get past the "unknown" of it all.

Speaking of law school...the first picture up top are of Will and Millie resting up before no rest for the weary hits. Also, the second picture is of the two of us going to his first law school social last night downtown. (Glad to know that there is more to law school besides the books!) We had a good time, and I'm glad to have met some of the other L-1s that Will will be around everyday.

That is all for now :) Have a good weekend!

New Beginnings

Wow! What a week filled with packing, moving, and surprises! As you may know already, Will and I moved to Jackson yesterday. We are all moved in to our new, little abode, and the unpacking and organizing is underway! The Lord is GOOD! I will be sure to post pictures on a later blog once we get all settled in!

On a MUCH more EXCITING note: My sister Amy and her husband Ben(Will's cousin...Mississippi for ya!) live in Clinton, MS which is about 20 minutes from our new place. They invited both Ben's family and our family over for dinner last night to celebrate Ben graduating law school and his finishing of the BAR exam. (WAY to GO Benny Blue Boo :)

Meanwhile, while we were all inside getting ready to eat, Amy hands my mom and Ben's mom each a gift bag, and says something like, "this is for the dad's too, but we just wanted to give y'all this to thank you for being so supportive of Ben and I during these past three years." Sooo, the moms proceed to open the cute, little gift bag, and pull out a decorated piece of card-stock. On the card-stock was a Bible verse, picture of a sonogram, the due date, and "Baby Morgan" written on it! My mom and Ben's mom both screamed in excitement, and then everyone in both families began jumping with joy! (Some of us are STILL jumping!) The emotions in the room were filled with happy tears, shock, and excitement! Everyone is so very happy for Amy and Ben and cannot wait to meet this precious little baby around March 5, 2011!

I am so very excited about being an AUNT! I'm also so happy that Will and I are so close to Ben and Amy, and that we will get to help share in this special new beginning of their lives together with this little gift from God :)

Drowning in Boxes!

Jackson Bound

Hi, blogger friends! The Morgans finally decided to join the blogger world! Will and I think that blogging is not only a fun way to keep up with what is new in our family and friends lives, but it is also a way that you can keep up with our lives! This will have to be a short post for today because I need to get back to packing, but just wanted to let y'all know that we are moving to Jackson THIS Thursday. We are so sad to be leaving our small college town of Starkville, but we are thankful for the opportunities the Lord has in store for us in Jackson! Please pray for a safe and smooth move, and more posts to come soon! Have a great day :)
